Excerpt from The Engineers and the Price System
The following series of papers are reprinted from the Dial, where they appeared, from time to time, during 1919. They discuss the Ameri can industrial situation as it stood at that time, during the months immediately following the Ar mistice; and more particularly certain difficulties involved in the industrial situation as it stood at that time. But, since then, no substantial change has taken effect in the state of industry, of such a character as to make this discussion less perti nent now than it was at the. Time these papers were first printed; indeed, the difficulties involved in or arising out of the industrial situation have only come forward into fuller bearing since then. Therefore, these papers are here reprinted with outchange.
