Excerpt from Electricity Experimentally and Practically Applied: A Book for the Beginner and for the Practical Man, Principles, Experiments, Practical Applications and Problems
Although a number of excellent works on practical electrical engineering are already in use, the author believes there is a place for a volume that will present the subject from an experimental standpoint. For many years the author has taught the subject of electrical engineering by means of experimental lectures and laboratory work to large numbers of practical men. Since these students have often lacked mathematical training, it has been nec essary to explain the subject-matter in a very simple way, showing, wherever possible, its practical features. The same method of presentation has been used in this text, and it is hoped that a much larger audience may thus be reached and benefited. This volume is particularly adapted to courses of instruction given to those engaged in actual electrical work; it should likewise prove useful as a text for high schools and for college laboratory courses.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book is a practical guide to electrical engineering principles, tailored specifically for individuals with a background in practical electrical work. It approaches the subject from an experimental standpoint, offering a hands-on approach to understanding electrical concepts. Electrical phenomena, ranging from magnetic fields around wires and solenoids through electromagnetic induction and the principles of transformers and motors are explored. The author's intent is to make the foundational theory behind electrical phenomena understandable through the use of simplified language, avoiding complex mathematics to make the subject matter approachable to practicing electricians. Providing a deep understanding of the theoretical basis for electrical engineering, this book is a valuable resource for electricians or electrical engineering students looking for a deeper understanding of the subject matter. It will also prove helpful to self-taught individuals seeking to expand their knowledge of electrical theory and its practical applications. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
