To thee who ever with a summer smile Wove in my dreams etherial, golden rays :A ye held a mirror in thy hopeful hand, In which a shadowed garden was revealed, Bright with the lustrous colouring which glows Upon the brow immortal of the soul Tothee, who only lacked Dsedalian power To plume world beating wings of shining might, On which I might soar up to Fame shigh cliflfs Thou whose fond heart was as a well profound, Filled with rich, beaded drops of burning love :T othy sweet memory I devote these lays.
