Acerca del autor

A professional writer and storyteller for over thirty years, Robin A. Edgar believes everyone has a story to tell. She conducts reminiscence-writing workshops based on her book In My Mother's Kitchen: An Introduction to the Healing Power of Reminiscence in a variety of venues including universities and arts centers. Ms. Edgar also serves as a national keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for organizations such as Hospice and the Alzheimer's Association. As the project coordinator for the Personal Legacies: Surviving the Great Depression project, Ms. Edgar interviewed close to 100 people to create a year-long exhibition at Smithsonian Affiliate, The Charlotte Museum of History. Both the book, first published by CPCC Press as a catalog for the exhibit, and a documentary by PBS affiliate, WTVI, were also part of the project, sponsored in part by the Charlotte Arts and Science Council and the Blumenthal Foundation. The mother of three grown children, Robin Edgar lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and recycled consumer plastic artist, David Edgar.
