First published in 2001 under the title `sauceguide to Cocktails' this sixth edition was first published in the UK in October 2006. Over the past five years this had developed to become what we believe to be the most comprehensive and definitive cocktail book available.From the Author:
Unlike previous editions of our Cocktails guide in this
edition (#6) I have made every one of the 2,000 cocktails at least twice,
and some many times. I first sample each cocktail and adjust the recipe for taste and simplicity. I then make each drink again for the accompanying photograph. After our photographer has captured a drinks image I then sample it again to see if it would benefit from any final adjustments. I draw some recipes from my own collection of vintage and modern cocktail books, referencing the source under the `Origin' of each drink. Others come directly from my visiting leading bars around the world as I travel to review bars for our quarterly guide. Some are my own invention and are referenced "Created by yours truly".
