Sant Kirpal Singh (1984-1974) was a great saint of India who introduced to the Western world a meditation on the Light and Sound as a way to attain firsthand personal experience of the spiritual realms within. He taught meditation to hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world on his world tours, through his twenty or more books, and through meditation retreats at his ashram in India as well as centers throughout the world. He was also founder-president of four World Religions Conferences whose purpose was to demonstrate the underlying unity of all religions. He was founder of the Human Unity Conferences, and held the first on in Delhi, India, in 1974, which has been continued through twenty-four additional conferences since then throughout the world. His spiritual work was continued by Sant Darshan Singh, and currently by Sant Rajinder Singh (author of Inner and Outer Peace through Meditation, with a foreword by H.H. the Dalai Lama). The meditation technique brought by Sant Kirpal Singh to over forty countries throughout the world is currently practiced by a million people.
