From the Author:

The ABC's of Custer's Last Stand: Arrogance, Betrayal and Cowardice is intended to be the long needed vindication of the actions of George Armstrong Custer at the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Its purpose, also, was to chastise his subalterns Reno and Benteen who betrayed him and to expose Generals Sheridan, Terry and Crook's culpability in the debacle, which effectively left Custer and his Battalion alone to fight the entire Lakota Nation.
It is based upon an in depth review of the Battle of the Little Bighorn, utilizing the premise that the course and conduct of the battle were well known to the Army survivors and rescuers immediately after the battle. It utilizes, almost entirely, primary sources including: the statements, recollections, interviews and diaries of the Army survivors, maps drawn by Army survivors and Native American victors within five years of the battle, the statements, recollections and interviews of the Native American participants in the battle (from the best untainted sources available today) and the currently available interviews conducted by Walter Mason Camp.
From 1879 forward, the true facts were concealed, distorted or forgotten to allow the greatest whitewash and coverup in United States Military history to occur - The 1879 Reno Court of Inquiry.
For over 130 years the true facts of the battle have been shrouded in lies, exaggerations, distortion, and pure fiction produced by "yellow journalism".
This work exposes the battle to the light of fact, straight from the mouths and pens of the men who were there, the survivors and victors of the battle, and finally points the fingers of blame and shame at the proper parties.
