Críticas:

This catalogue records the only comprehensive exhibition that the Museum of Modern Art has ever staged and published on Le Corbusier's works. [...] Key words in the subtitles are " atlas" and "landscapes." First Le Corbusier was the "Atlas" of modern design, from furniture to urbanism; second, he profoundly conceived his designs in terms of landscapes. [...] This book charts all of his built works by continent, including his paintings and writings, which he sold and published to support and promote himself.--P.S. Kaufman "Choice "

"Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes" examines the proselytizing modernist's endeavors on multiple continents as architect, interior designer, artists, city planner and writer.--The Editors "Art in America "

Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes, presents a vast range of the work of the influencial architect who was born Charles-Edouard Jeanneret in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1887.--Suzanne Stephens "Architectural Record "

2012 marked what would have been the 125th birthday of the great French architect Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, better known to the world as Le Corbusier. With anniversaries come books: Take a gander at... a career retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (Le Corbusier: An Atlas of Modern Landscapes, D.A.P.).--The E2012 Marked What The Editors "Dwell Magazine "

The accompanying text to the Museum of Modern Art's June exhibition-- the largest ever produced on Le Corbusier's prolific oeuvre-- encompasses his work as architect, city planner, writer and photographer.--Tali Jaffe "Cultured "

Reseña del editor:

In June 2013, The Museum of Modern Art presents the largest exhibition ever produced on Le Corbusier's prolific oeuvre, encompassing his work as architect, interior designer, artist, city planner, writer and photographer. Over a six-decade career, this towering figure of modern culture constantly observed and imagined landscapes using all the artistic techniques at his command, including watercolors, sketches, paintings, photographs and models. This accompanying publication, appearing 25 years after the Centre Pompidou released the seminal catalogue Le Corbusier, une encyclopedie, aspires to become a new sourcebook, giving an account of research developed worldwide in recent decades. Reflecting the geographic extension of his designs and built works as well as his indefatigable wanderlust, the book is structured as an atlas, with topographical entries allowing for the discovery of the major sites and cities where Le Corbusier worked. Featuring essays by an international range of curators, scholars and critics, and a trove of archival images and materials from the Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris, this lavishly illustrated volume presents a wholly unique way to explore the life and work of one of the most important visionaries of our time.
