This superbly illustrated book includes 40 different aircraft types, all of which played significant roles in World War 2. Within the book's 208 pages are 600 full-colour scale drawings showing the aircraft in typical camouflage and markings. These consist of five-view drawings of each type, plus a selection of profiles of variants shown in a multitude of markings (the latter of immense value to aircraft historians). To complement the illustrations, Bill Gunston provides informative captions plus a brief history of each aircraft, together with concise technical data including number produced, dimensions, weight, engines, performance and military load.
