The book of beginnings, Genesis is foundational to understanding the grand themes of Scripture: the world, man, sin, the nations. In this God-centered, scholarly commentary, John Phillips brings Genesis to life verse by verse as he addresses questions, explains Hebrew words, details background information, and references other passages of Scripture for fuller understanding. His writing has substance and style—appropriate for both the scholar and the layman.
"This series has features that will make it a favorite of Bible students: detailed alliterative outline; notes about the authorship; straightforward interpretation of the text; practical application."
—Bookstore Journal
