Arrangement is in three volumes, in 44 sessions, covering all aspects of networking, including multimedia, wireless, optical, multicasting, ATM, network management, queuing networks, network security, and system software. A sampling of topics: a conflict-free traffic assignment algorithm using forward planning, video on demand over ATM, optimal deterministic timeouts for reliable scalable multicast, bounds and performance of reuse partitioning in cellular networks. The conference is regularly attended by representatives from academia, industry, and government. No index (other than author lists). Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
