His many books for children included Bullies Don't Hurt (Viking/Puffin), Wicked (Orchard) and Ghost Blades (Mammoth) which were selected by The Book Trust for their 100 Best Books 1998 edition. Chris Fisher is a favourite illustrator of children's books. His titles include Nonsense Nursery Rhymes, which won the Gold Award in the Play and Learn Awards and Snowdragon, which was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Award. Hammy House of Horror, illustrated by Chris, was highly commended in the Sheffield Children's Book Award. Chris Fisher lives in Bristol.
