DANIEL GEORGE RIDLEY-KITTS MBE worked in the aviation industry (Martin-Baker ejector seat company) and later served in the RAF as a national serviceman in a fighter squadron in Germany. After this, he worked as an architectural/engineering draughtsman and joined the North Sea oil industry in 1963 - as a consequence, he was involved in the development and bringing on stream of several North Sea oil fields. In 1994, Ridley-Kitts was awarded an MBE for the New Year's honour list.
