Nick named 'The Bible' at my University, this book has a comprehensive index and contents page. It also has a wonderful ability to link in with whatever assignment on education that you are set. It is jargon free, with subtitles and bullet points that let you gather information at a glance. The down side is that it is perhaps more geared towards secondary teaching rather than primary, nevertheless it is one of the only books that I won't be selling when I graduate. ( Amazon Product Review)Reseña del editor:
In his familiar and accessible style, Chris Kyriacou examines the nature and development of teaching skills. This book will be an invaluable aid for the student and newly qualified teacher alike, and it is an excellent resource for the more experienced teacher or teacher trainer. This third edition has been fully revised to take account of the UK's new 2007 standards for teacher training/teacher development and the move towards evidence-informed teaching policy. The book includes practice developments in the areas of personalized learning, whole-class interactive teaching, inclusion, assessment for learning, and the Every Child Matters agenda. It also contains chapters on planning, preparing, presenting, and managing lessons, and includes sections on classroom climate and discipline to help promote positive pupil behavior.
