A new European "smart fabric" nanotechnology undergarment fashion which secretly pleasures, addicts, injures and kills is opposed by a young holistic doctor who risks his career to take on not only its inventors, but the CIA, the military, a powerful US synthetic textile conglomerate and his own father.

Nanotechnology is not here yet, but like all technology, its arrival is inevitable. With molecular manufacturing will come the ultimate computer connection; TUI: the Tactile User Interface. When people start wearing computers, intimately close to the skin, computer viruses will no longer be just a software metaphor. Much more than data is at stake. There is no way to make a back-up copy of a human life. This book is a prophetic look at what is to come, and it doesn't look good. If there is a message here, it is this: KaeLF Skin contrasts sexuality as it is now, and as it may become when future nanotechnology intrudes in a diabolically intelligent way into our most intimate sexual conduct, relationships and behaviors. There has been nothing new under the sun regarding sex...until now. KaeLF will make us long for the good old days when the "kinky" sex practices of preKaeLF days seem like the quaint homespun sexual manners of a safer and sadly bygone era, when we approached each other with little more than our naked bodies and God-given libido. Technology may be the one and only true perversion to infest humankind. KaeLF is coming. It seems like a joke, at worst a silly fad leading to an addictive aberration that doesn't concern most of us. Or our children. And that's what makes it so dangerous. This novel is the world's first warning. KaeLF will make your skin crawl. Or you may be attracted to it.About the Author:
John Jurek is an electrical engineer of some 35 years experience and a registered P.E. in the state of Wisconsin. Besides software and electronic hardware design, he has worked in technical communications, and has also freelanced, writing articles for various publications on the arts and other non-technological topics. He is both a classical and jazz musician, playing clarinet, oboe and tenor sax in various community groups. KaeLF Skin, his first novel, was written not only to entertain, but to express his concerns for the future effects on society of new and dangerous technologies that he sees as emerging without sufficient forethought or ethical oversight.Speculative articles on GNR technologies may be found at that site, and contributions to the discussion are welcome. John is married and has two children, Sarah and Jonathan. His wife Andrea is his editor, critic, and foremost literary fan.
