Studies of Management: Understanding Chaos and Complexity is a companion resource that forms part of suite of learning materials to accompany Cornerstones of Management, Second Edition, by Laurie & Carolyn Dickie.
Containing case studies designed to test the reader’s ability to apply key concepts and frameworks from the Dickie & Dickie textbook, the purpose of this companion resource is to help students develop confidence in applying selected theories and frameworks to real life examples and issues.
The chapters mirror those in Cornerstones of Management. For convienence, all key case studies and frameworks from the full textbook are re-captured in this text.
Each chapter of Studies of Management: Understanding Chaos and Complexity consists of there components:
- a self-reflection exercise which encourages the reader to apply key frameworks derived from the textbook to their personal life
- an analysis exercise relating to the case studies taken from the reference textbook
- a new case study derived from current world events

Acerca del autor
Jill Bamforth has an MBA, Masters of eBusiness and Communication (MeB), a B.Ed, and PhD.
Jill has extensive commercial business experience in the areas of strategy, business development, operations and project management in Europe, the United States, and the Asia Pacific region. She also has a wealth of experience in executive education and mentoring. Whilst lecturing at Swinburne University, Jill developed and lectured across a wide range of courses in the management, business and ecommerce disciplines, both within Australia and internationally.
As a long-term passionate educator of students, Jill was keen to add another practical student resource to the suite of learning materials that accompany Cornerstones of Management.
