Descripción Watkins, Somerset, Eng., 1967. Paper. Estado de conservación: Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Copy has sunning along the spine of soft coral color art stock binding, upper front near edge and close to spine are two minute pin pricks - on the back at corresponding area there are a few surface only pressure marks that are like but only on the very surface which is lightly textured to begin with. Interior is pristine. This is a rare publication. Dr. Jung, in his autobiography , speaks of a period in his life when he was experiencing a series of visions and fantasies, an important period in that from these experiences stemmed all the creative work which he accomplished in later years. It was during this phase of his development that 'Septem Sermones ad Mortuos' came into being. Its writing was accompanied by strange phenomena and, as Dr. Jung says, 'Then it began to flow out of me and in the course of three evenings the thing was written. As soon as I took up the pen, the whole ghostly asemblage evaporated. The room quietened and the atmosphere cleared. The haunting was over.'. The language and form of the work has something of the cryptic and beautiful quality of Gnostic writing. The English edition, in a translation by H. G. Baynes, was privately printied in 1925, by arrangement with John M. Watkins, only a very few copies were issued and these were for Dr. Jung's own use. This edition was copyright Robinson & Watkins Books, Ltd., 1967. Very Nice Copy, Scarce!. Nº de ref. de la librería 003413
