Alison Muir-Bennett began her travels in the Middle East, Asia and Africa as founder partner in an overland expedition company. She continued her travels by sea, embarking on a 3 year voyage in a jointly owned 42 foot ketch, sailing through the China Seas, Western Pacific, Solomon and Coral Seas, across the Indian Ocean to South Africa and thence across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. She then lived in Brazil for a time where she enjoyed weekend coastal cruising.
