The RHS Diary 2017 showcases the work of Caroline Maria Applebee (c.1799-1854) held in the RHS's world famous Lindley Library. Very little is known about Miss Applebee. It is believed she was a talented amateur artist whose works were unpublished. Her paintings (323 in total in the Lindley Library) feature a large range of plants, including the more rare and exotic varieties of the day, which would only survive under glass.
This week-to-view diary is illustrated in colour throughout.
