Ian Strachan is a member and ex-Chairman of the Flight Simulation Group Committee of the Royal Aeronautical Society, London. He was a Wing Commander in the UK Royal Air Force, a Test Pilot (ETPS graduate) and an A1 Category Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI). He has flown some 8,500 hours in over 100 types of aircraft. He has 'flown' over 50 flight simulators. He was in charge of the air systems training and simulation office in the Ministry of Defence in London.
