I would strongly recommend this book to any general practitioner or veterinary student who feels that their ophthalmology is in need of a bit of a brush-up. The book is useful both as a quick reference mid-consult, and as a more leisurely read from cover to cover, providing the reader with an excellent overview of small animal ophthalmology. Veterinary Record, February 2009
Ocular diseases are arranged by theor presenting signs, rather han underlying pathology, to meet the daily needs of the practitioner. (...) One of the excellent features found in each chapter includes boxes dedicated to aspects of nursing, which makes this book attractive for other members of practice staff other than the practitioner. Another special feature is the clinical tips in red colour-coded boxes, which makes them easy to find. (...) The book offers an atrractive overview of the most common ocular diseases, which helps the clinician get immediate support when dealing with the daily challenges of general practice.
