Biografía del autor:
As a Design Principal for a design-build firm during a recent development boom, James Dupree contributed as artfully as he could to the transformation of many natural places into building sites. When his two boys were young and his eyes were tired from a long day of work, he found it easier to tell bedtime stories than to read them. The stories blended the challenges the children had faced that day with his own concerns for the natural environment he was manipulating. The boys loved the stories, especially the ones about Frisky the Wondercat, who always managed to overcome familiar problems and send everyone to sleep with a smile. When other children visited the house and when the Duprees camped out with other families, the Wondercat met a wider audience. After years of encouragement, Dupree found the time to weave a few stories into a novel. The writing of the book made the stories more complex and more interesting to the growing boys. Dupree wrote "Frisky the Wondercat" as a love letter to his children and to anyone else who might read it. The book offers suspense, excitement, humor, and insight into the different ways people regard their natural surroundings. The Wondercat is in love with his world. Through the book, Dupree encourages everyone to share that regard as they share that same world.
