Jamie Purviance is a chef and author, educated at Stanford University and the Culinary Institute of America. As well as writing cookbooks and magazine articles, Purviance has appeared on many television shows, including CBS's "Early Show" and "The Oprah Winfrey Show". He also develops recipes and menu ideas for leading restaurants and food manufacturers. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
