Twenty-one-year-old Brett Silver is a recent graduate of the small liberal arts school Winesburg College in Los Angeles. With no job offers or any rational plans for the future, he has already begun to settle into the retired life. Provided with his monthly allowance from his millionaire father, he spends his life in opulence; his days buying cocaine and trying on designer clothes and lying poolside; while his nights are filled with even more drugs and parties, as he journeys through a meaningless life getting high and drunk and attending movie premieres with promising young movies stars. But when Brett's father cuts him off monetarily, his boredom consumes him and he falls deeper and deeper into uncertainty. Soon his thirst for a purpose begins to overwhelm his everyday life as he encounters a serial killer, a famished bank account, and a secret hidden beneath the community of Winesburg that could cost him his life.Sometimes the perfect life need not serve a purpose
