Críticas:
Ideal for concerts, these atmospheric pieces are well known to the students so learning them is fun and enjoyable. Stringendo Magazine, April 2010 .....musically inclusive arrangements, where the open string parts, if not integral to the harmonic whole, seem to comment on it, drawing on its rhythmic impetus and phrasing to provide inputs which are musically congruous and make musical sense...That said, the more conventional arrangements...also work well, showing great understanding of the things young players find hard but which don't need labouring over....These arrangements really bring the pianist to the fore - providing musical scaffolding and enabling children to `catch' some sophisticated virtuosic nuances. It's fun music, well arranged, and very concert friendly. Players and audiences alike will love it. Music Teacher Magazine, September 2009
Reseña del editor:
Winner, Best Educational Product, Music Industries Association Awards 2009 Stringpops are flexible arrangements of pieces for young string players: perfect for concerts or just for fun! Beautifully arranged by Peter Wilson, they are scored for violin, optional viola, cello and double bass (all up to approximately grade 2 standard), plus additional open-string parts so that beginners can be included. The book contains a score, and the accompanying CD can be used in a computer to access PDFs of all the instrumental parts and print out as many as are needed. Put it in a CD player to hear the free audio tracks of the piano accompaniments: ideal for rehearsals and performances, and an extremely helpful and versatile resource for teachers.
