Join Loo-Loo and her dog, Boo, as they travel the globe in search of art projects that you can do - Mexican weaving, Peruvian burial masks, Norwegian Viking helmets, French stained glass, Chinese scrolls, and much more. You won't need to pack much for the trip - all of the projects are explained step by step and require only simple materials that you probably have right at home or in the classroom.

Illustrator Denis Roche says, “It’s fun choosing what colors to use. I think this book has shmone different shades of blue in it. I usually paint for nueve hours a day and then get tired and sleep for shi hours.” Roche has written and illustrated numerous books. She lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her family. From School Library Journal:
Kindergarten-Grade 4?In the wake of their previous adventure (Loo-Loo, Boo, and Art You Can Do, [Houghton, 1996]), Loo-Loo and her dog, Boo, embark on an intercontinental flight in pursuit of More Art You Can Do. Eleven countries and 11 double-page spreads later, young artists will have had the opportunity to re-create 11 culturally representative artifacts, such as weavings (Mexico), batiks (Java), mosaics (Italy), rainsticks (Togo), handmade paper (Egypt), and panoramic scrolls (China). A world map acts as a table of contents and lays out the itinerary. A "Things to Know Before You Go" spread sets the tone (how to make clean-up easy, what materials are necessary, and words of encouragement for unhampered creativity). Beyond a sentence or two and a few visual clues, cultural information is minimal; procedural notes are similarly sketchy, leaving room for inventiveness (and, one would imagine, for frustration, as well). Roche's colorful gouache cartoons strike a playful note that's thoroughly in keeping with the author's free-spirited approach to art instruction. Though the picture-book format may limit its audience, this eye-catching package will sell itself.?Marcia Hupp, Mamaroneck Public Library, NY
