Beautifully illustrated with simple language...
Sarah McConnell's illustrations are wonderfully effective at showing Ruby's perspective. Pictures that show Ruby suffering from the smell of big people's feet, and her perched on a big loo are realy humorous ways of showing what it is like to be little.
This is an excellent story to be used in discussing size and position in the fmaily with all early years children. The illustrations and simple conclusion to the story will leave children thinking it is not so bad to be the littlest in the family. A warm, delightful book for every book corner.
