As the evidence-based medicine movement gathers momentum, it is becoming apparent that valuable information can be derived from individual case studies, provided that the information is structured correctly from the outset. This slim volume is probably the only book devoted to the art and place of clinical case reports in modern medicine. This volume is to be highly recommended. I believe that Jenicek is right when he asks us to take case reports seriously.
