Sinopsis
'French Grammar in Context' takes authentic texts from a variety of sources, both literary and journalistic, and uses them as the starting point for the illustration and explanation of the principal areas of French grammar. Placing the emphasis on grammar in context and on grammar with a functional and communicative purpose, the authors have included a range of exercises, many of which are text-based, to give students the opportunity to practice these key points. Grammar is presented not as an end in itself, but as a tool, essential both to understanding and enjoying the authentic language of native speakers, and to producing effective language of one's own. Aimed at intermediate and advanced students of French, this book can be used both for individual and for tutor-led study.
