This guide provides an in-depth and unbiased treatment of the majority of intergovernmental institutions currently in existence, serving political, military, economic and social purposes for the specialist and non-specialist alike. The entries are arranged alphabetically for over 100 organizations - from the UN to specialized agencies and regional bodies in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
