This information was not part of the catalog copy. JOAN DOMENGE I MESQUIDA (Majorca, 1965), graduated from Barcelona University (1988), with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the History of Art. This year (1993), he gained his doctorate there, with a thesis entitled The Process of the Construction of Majorca Cathedral according to the Fabric Accounts. From Commencement to the Mirador (1306-1398). He has been a lecturer in the History of Art Department in the same university since 1991. Awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Education and Science and by the C.I.R.I.T. (Catalonia Government), he has carried out extensive research on medieval art in Majorca and has read papers on the subject at conferences and congresses. In addition to his doctoral thesis on the cathedral, he has produced the corpus of the Majorcan medieval silverwork (published under the title of Liturgical Silverwork in Majorcan Churches. XIV-XVIth. Centuries, 1991), as well as a study in press--on the anonymous Master of Privileges, which puts forward certain theories in the foreword to this facsimile of the Palatine Laws.
