Die genannten drei jah1e darf man in den anfang der 960er jahre setzen. Die isländischen annalen tragen den mordbrand zum jahre 962 ein, nur die Flatey-annalen zum jahre 963. Demnach erhalten wir mit den jahren 961 - 64 bezw. 96265 die daten unsrer saga. Wir befinden uns also noch tief in der heidnischen zeit; nur sehr wenige 'lsl. Ss. Reichen nicht in Spätere jahre heri'1ber.
