Sinopsis
This volume examines the respective roles in the legal process of judges, legislators, academics and regulators, and the influence they have on each other. Each of these groups is represented at the lectures which have been sponsored by one of Britain's largest law firms, Clifford Chance. This is the second volume in an annual series designed to publish lectures at the Centre for European Law Studies in Oxford. This volume, like the first, brings together lectures given by some of the world's most distinguished academic lawyers and judges.

Acerca del autor
Professor Basil Markesinis is the Clifford Chance Professor of European Law at the University of Oxford. He has received many honours throughout his distinguished academic career, including the highest civil honours awarded by France and Germany.
