First Friends is a three-level beginner's course that makes learning English and the Roman alphabet familiar and fun!

The Student Audio CD with songs, stories and chants - to practise at home The Student Book/Work Book is full of lively illustrations and photographs to engage students with pencil and paper practice material alongside, which can be used as homework activities. There is an overview page detailing the scope and sequence of learning at that level. Each page gives guidance to teachers and parents on the learning outcomes for that lesson There are ten units in the Student Book, each with six lessons and six additional practice activities. Building vocabulary Understanding structure Critical thinking through a puzzle/pattern skills around a song Listening to a story and understanding the sequence of English Developing values and civic education through everyday English Practising the Roman alphabet and phonics lessons (2-3 sounds) Many activities develop oral language too with a 'Say' component. Each unit has a 'Review' activity to consolidate literacy, numeracy and vocabulary of the unit - also great for homework Extra resources include, picture dictionaries, finger puppets and at Level 3 numbers spread, writing grid and craft activity There is a song page detailing all of the song lyrics for each unit too - a great resource for parents!
