About the Author:

Malcolm C. Lyons is a professor of Arabic at Cambridge and a widely published scholar of classical Arabic literature.
Ursula Lyons is an emeritus fellow of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, and a specialist in modern Arabic literature.
Robert Irwin is the author of The Arabian Nights: A Companion as well as numerous other studies of Middle Eastern politics, art, and mysticism.
Coralie Bickford Smith is an award-winning designer at Penguin Books (U.K.), where she has created several highly acclaimed series designs. She studied typography at Reading University and lives in London.
