Dealing with the use of Filemaker Pro in conjunction with the World Wide Web, this work is aimed at Web users who want to use Filemaker as the backend database for their Web site. The book explores database creation, maintenance, backup, recovery, optimization and compression. It discusses managing and maintaining dynamic pages with dynamic data, including filtering and avoiding overloading the system. Setting up the system and all of the issues that should be considered in doing this are also discussed. The main body of the book is dedicated to discussions of how to use CGIs available on the Internet which lay on top of the Filemaker database as the interface with the World Wide Web.
