This book is a revised, updated and expanded edition of "Planning for public transport". The new text reflects the major changes in transport organization and research findings in the years since first publication. The author pays special attention to the structure of local government and the transport industry from 1986 (following local government reorganization), as well as to bus industry deregulation, to land use planning, and to developments in other countries with innovations relevant to Britain.
