Acerca de

"45 Minutes to America: Dispatches from Martha's Vineyard" is a funny, offbeat look at life on and from the little island seven miles out to sea. In comic essays dealing with subjects ranging from the onslaught of summer visitors to dealing with irritating Christmas letters to trying to avoid being last off the ferry, Kimball, a year-round resident, takes a fresh, quirky look at life from a unique perspective: living in America, but not exactly.

About the Author:

Julie Kimball is a former headline writer for the New York Daily News. A graduate of Brown and Columbia Journalism School, she worked as a reporter and editor for papers in Massachusetts and New Jersey before moving to Martha's Vineyard. She is a frequent contributor to the Vineyard Gazette, and has written for The New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Providence Journal, and other publications.
