Reseña del editor:
Frugal cooks in search of creative and satisfying recipes will find these pages an inspiration for trimming expenses while adding to their dining pleasure. This handy and humorous guide to using the leftover treasures lying in kitchen cupboards or deep within the refrigerator contains an index to over 200 leftover ingredients. Droll commentary and whimsical drawings add to the cookbook’s fun. The authors hail from Wisconsin. Cheese, local produce, beer, farm eggs, sausage, and venison there beckon to be consumed. But if the authors’ food sensibilities come from sourcing local products, their culinary desires are grounded in New Orleans culture—soups, sauces, and seasonings. The cookbook’s recipes are a North-South marriage to be savored and enjoyed.
