There is a 2 " long tear in the cloth along the bottom edge of the front cover. Underlining in pencil of eight lines on page xviii of the foreward. One marking "x" on a blank space on p.9. Two small smudges in the margins p.4. Otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is in very good condition with a 2" horizontal closed tear on the front flap, a 1"vertical closed tear on the back flap and chipping wear on the head of the spine panel. The original price-"$ 8.95" is on the front flap. Profusely illustrated with original artwork and photographs in black and white. From the foreward. the youngest American Playwright, fifth woman and only black writer ever to win the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play of the Year. Hansberry won that award for her play "A Raisin in the Sun" in 1959. Now in a mylar protective cover. 166 pp.
