First Edition. - the 4th detective story in the published book, " Martin Hewlett " by Morrison who has now put his name to it [ after good reviews & good sales of the first two stories ] - June 1894 - No. 42 / Vol. 7 - pp. 562 to 574 with 9 Paget illustrations, including a full page frontis - this is the same Victorian monthly that published the Sherlock Holmes Adventures & it asked Morrison to write a few knockoffs to fill between Doyle's contributions - pale blue pictorial wraps, a fine bright square copy & extremely unusual thus. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
