Pictorial Wrappers. Condición: Very Good Plus. Quintana, George [Cover] Ilustrador. First Edition. New York: H.H. Publishing Co., 1937; February, 1937 issue, volume 4, no. 2. Adult purchase only. Pin-up pulp "Good Girl" light erotica piece, with an extraordinarily fetching and classic "Good Girl" cover illustration, a scarce one by the somewhat mysterious Georges (George) Quintana, featuring a perky young lass stretching her arms on a love seat with cushion, clad in.not much; basically a transparent negligee. Executed in that enchanting period style of Quintana, Enoch Bolles and a very few others. 9.5" x 6.75", 66 pp. pictorial wrappers. In quite handsome and bright condition for a piece from this genre and era; two small closed tears, one at top left and the other at bottom left of the cover, a rubber stamped start on the cover, and a millimeter or two of wear at the tip ends of the spine are about all there is to mention. Otherwise, bright, sharp, full of pep and vinegar. Very near to near fine for a pulp periodical, but formally it;s a very good plus. Pulp-paper contents are only lightly age toned, primarily in the margins, and are quite supple. Bright, tight and striking. Contents include a 14-page black & white nude photographic section and a number of b&w "good girl" line drawings, some nude, as illustrations of the several included pieces of soft-erotica pulp fiction. These illustrations were clearly by a number of different artists, all in "Good Girl" interpretations, and all uncredited. A fascinating and very scarce title and number from a uniquely American pulp genre, in rather spectacular condition, with a nearly peerless Good Girl cover. Purchaser must be over 18 years of age, please, due to the nude photographic section (though it is actually rather soft by today's standards). LG-1.
