Covers have mild shelfwear/edgewear, a few light stains. Both volumes have rubbed corners and softened spine ends. Pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Bindings are tight. Hinges are perfect. Volume I has small crease in cloth on top of front cover, stain form laid-in paper on pages 248 through 253. Volume II has slightly worn gilt design and lower front corner slightly bumped.Very nice copies.

Volume 2 has cracks in the hinge besides the boards that makes them both slightly loose. Endpapers and textblock edges are both dusty, however internal contents are generally clear and crisp. A reliable set of books.
