Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First edition. 189p., glossary, wrps. In this edition, a series of letters written by Juan Antonio Lerdo de Tejada to Manuel de Urquiaga, a merchant from Mexico City, is reproduced. This correspondence allows us to analyze, from a local case, the time of the end of the Colony through the comments of those who write; here the feeling of the Buenos Aires oligarchy is reconstructed in the face of the instability caused by the insurgent struggles, as well as the influence that these had on the economy and on the politics of the main port square of the Veracruz administration.

Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First edition. 73p., indices, wrps. "Historia Vulgar" deals with two themes: the conflict between progress and tradition and a love story hampered by gossip that, while coming true, do not prevent the plot from leading to a happy ending. The argument is based on paintings of customs, period chronicles and descriptions of landscapes. First published in 1904, this is Delgado's fourth and last novel; he had previously written La Calandria (1891), Angelina (1895) and Los relatives rico (1903); in them, as in Historia vulgar, a romance disturbed by slander is presented.

Paperback. Condición: Very Good. First edition. 90p., photos, indices, wrps. The poet Josefa Murillo, who was born in Tlacotalpan on February 29, 1860 and died on September 1, 1898 in Tlacotalpan, on the banks of the river, and who only made one trip, to Orizaba, read, however, in the language original to Victor Hugo and the romantics. The author of the prologue, the academic Georgina Trigos tells us: "The story shows us a small and sickly woman endowed with inner strength and a keen sense of reality." Her themes were life, death, the transience of time, eternity. "Love is a reason for constant lamentation in her poetry," says the prologue writer. This is a sum of the editions of the poetic work of Josefa Murillo. One line: "And still / when I remember, I cry!".

Brujas, Lisboa, Madrid (1930) is another of her autobiographical works, to which are added the novels Mirlitón (1918), Jirón del mundo (1919) and El secreto (1922). Paperback. Condición: Good. First edition. 130p., photos, wrps. Tasty chronicles in which not only war matters are told but also curious anecdotes, such as the one that tells how Porfirio Díaz hid under the wide petticoats of Doña Concha López, a short, fat woman, very skilled in business, who was later favored by The general. The Tenoya is a ship that sailed on the Papaloapan. The author uses it as the symbol of a witness who saw historical and parochial events pass worthy of rescue. Humberto Aguirre Tinoco, connoisseur and lover of his land, achieves an extremely pleasant and valuable book.
