It was first published in London in 1857 and later reprinted several times in this country. A Very Good copy.

Wraps. Condición: Good. From the Twenty-seventh London Edition. Wraps. Approx. 7" x 4". 26 pages, [1] page bible verses, [1] page publications by the publisher. Original wraps present with the printed title on the outer wrap. The date 1865 is listed on the outer wrap and the date 1864 is listed on the title page. Light toning and foxing to the contents. The front outer wrap was partly stuck to the title page. The rear wrap is stuck to the printed advertisement page in the upper corner. The advertisement page includes "The Soldier's Visitor" and the "Children's Friend" both referencing about the War and the Confederacy. Pencil name of "Nanny Seddon Rutherford" written on pencil top of the title page. This English Ballad comes with the bookseller Goodspeed's envelope addressed to "Dr. B. R. Wellford Medical Arts Building., Richmond, Va. 19." Confederate imprint. A late relic of printing in the Confederacy. Parrish & Willingham 9289.
