Hardcover. Condición: Fair +. First Edition. First Edition: stated (London, 1963). Ex-library book with a single stamp to the copyright page and a (very) short date notation to the rep. The ffep has been removed. No textual markings or annotations. Text block edges very dusted. The unclipped dust jacket remains notably clean, with fading to the spine (titling remaining clear), some light local edge wear, and with darkening to the edge of the front inside flap (from previously attached clear tape). Blue cloth with bright gilt titling to the spine. The boards remain secure and sound, with short tape markings to the top and bottom front edges, and light toning to the spine ends. There is some play in the front hinge. A serviceable first edition (complete and unmarked text, decent dust jacket), but this is not a copy for the exacting collector. Selected and Introduced by J. W. Lambert. 489pp.
