[xiv], 181 & [1] pages, illustrated with pictorial endpaper maps & profuse black-and-white illustrations from drawings by the author. Very good. First edition. Inscribed to the president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and his wife and signed "OL" by the author on the front blank: "To the owners of the [Py___?] from the owner of Glenburn with great joy at living [___?] them and with affection to Lydia & Roland. OL". Additionally dated "Glenburn / September 25 1965" by Olin Dows at the bottom of the page. The recipient Roland Redmond served as president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1947 through 1964. "A nostalgic presentation, with a Currier and Ives savor, of FDR's life against the background of his homeland in the historic Catskills by a painter-friend and neighbor of the Roosevelt family.
