Broché. +++++++ Eugène de Mirecourt (1812-1880) écrivain et journaliste eu l idée en 1854 de passer en revue toutes les célébrités de l époque : C'est la Galerie des Contemporains. Cette galerie, dans laquelle il couvre de ridicule plusieurs grandes réputations, eut un grand succès : La Mennais, George Sand, Jules Janin, Proudhon, Émile de Girardin, Veuillot, Millaud, etc. Dans cet ouvrage c 'est Abel-François Villemain (1790- 1870) qui est visé. Un fac-similé d'une page manuscrite de Villemain est présente en fin de volume - Plats conservés, dos et tranches poussiéreuses, intérieur correct avec rousseurs éparses, bon état d'usage.

Il s'est constitué une vaste bibliothèque dispersée en 1887 souvent truffée de lettre autographes d'auteur. EDITION ORIGINALE RARE. Bon état.
