Black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Philip Larkin, English poet, died unexpectedly in 1985. He was the most popular poet since John Betjeman and the most influential since W.D. Auden and his death left a gap in the landscape of English poetry. In this book the editor has drawn together many admirers of Philip Larkin to write a tributes to him. On the half title page is a gift inscription and it is signed from George and Gaynor. The signature is exactly the same as for the signature to the illustration on the rear of book panel.
