Hard Back. Condición: Good. First Edition. viii + 82 pages + 1 page publishers ads + 16 single sided illustrations (mostly colour). Decorative gilt embossed binding in good condition, some edge & rear rubbing etc. . Contents very good & clean, no inscriptions, gilt edges, with some cracking front/rear most likely due to letting covers drop when holding. Mostly on English Bookbindings & Old English Pottery (Slip-Ware, Dwight's Stoneware & white salt-glazed ware), also includes English Work in Impressed Horn, Old English Fruit Trenchers, English Effigies in Wood & English Enamels. Now collected for Fletcher's part on English bookbindings with some great colour illustrations of rare early English bindings & Professor A. H. Church s work on Old English Pottery with some great colour illustrations. Overall has the good gilt decorative binding, minor faults. The contents are very good, clean & tight, no inscription with cracking /loose front & rear. Tall hardback, large, approx 14 x 10 inches. Dark green cloth with bevel edge boards, gilt lettering to spine and front with gilt figurative design. All page edges gilt. Black endpapers. In very good condition. Some rubbing to edges, corners and ends of spine. Some minor light handling/rubbing to boards. Endpapers clean, no penned inscriptions, some mild foxing to engraving of ?Prince of Orange? else plates all very clean and bright throughout. Some minor foxing to guards. Else a very clean and tight copy. 82pp. B&W illustrations throughout. With full page coloured plates and engravings (guarded).
